About the role

The school Nurse will be an individual who truly cares about making our school a better place for our students. This includes educating students about healthy habits as well as responding to any medical complaints at school and performing routine screenings.

It is up to school nurses to provide expertise and oversight of school health services and to promote health education. Because healthy children are successful learners, school nurses advocate for the physical, emotional, mental, and social health of students.


About you

You will be able to :

  • Evaluate students who complain of specific ailments
  • Call parents to suggest they pick up students who might be uncomfortable or who might have developed a contagious illness
  • Educate students on hand washing, germs and other health care and safety issues
  • Examine and authenticate vaccination records
  • Monitor and dispense prescription medications based on instructions from parents and GPs
  • Contact parents and teachers with any medical emergency
  • Develop and manage school health and wellness programme
  • Maintain files on each student’s health and medical history





You will also be receptive to feedback and ready to embrace change, you will be keen to share best practice with colleagues and peers.

Selection Process

The closing date for application is latest 15th June although we reserve the right to hire before if we find the ideal candidate.  Interviews will be conducted in person at our Madrid location.
