We are seeking for a suitably qualified individual to join our school as the Head of Facilities.

 

Summary of the Position

The Head of Facilities is responsible for the operation, safety and maintenance of the BSKL properties, currently comprising of three campuses at Bandar Utama, which accommodate approximately 1,500 students and 250 staff members. This includes performing the role of a multi-disciplinary supervisor of operations staff for repairs, maintenance, administrative provision, budget monitoring and school function set-ups and various external contractors in the performance of a variety of services including cleaning, health and safety, security, alarm systems, electrical, catering, fire safety, mechanical (swimming pools) and air conditioning systems, grounds and landscape maintenance, recycling, and rubbish removal.   Additionally, this requires liaison with the local landowner as the school sites are leased.

 

Suitable candidates for this post will:

        Hold a degree in relevant technical area (preferably engineering)

Have relevant experience in building maintenance, construction or services – international school experience is desired.

Skillful in project management – particularly in the area of construction.  Design would be an added advantage.

Possess good organisational and problem solving skills. Conscientious, hard-working and able to cope with stress in highly demanding working environment.

Be fluent in English and able to communicate effectively and collaborate constructively.

Have sound and timely decision making skills.

Have outstanding people management skills and experience, a visionary and inspirational leader.
