Assistant Director, Quality and School Support

Location: The Americas

Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit an Assistant Director to lead quality assurance in The Americas region.

As a member of the central support Education team, the successful candidate will support schools in self-evaluation and training & development for school leaders in the geographical region. We believe that schools know themselves best and that our job is to provide them with the tools, support and challenge to be genuinely self-improving. The Assistant Director will also be a member of our global education team supporting the provision of quality education across our 56 schools worldwide.

The Role

We seek a talented, qualified and experienced, school/education leader with an affinity for international education to accelerate the great work achieved to date and lead/support in the following key areas, but not limited to:

  • School Quality Assurance

Manage the implementation of QA framework in the geographical region, acting as link advisor to designated schools.

  • Strategic and Organisational Leadership

Identify trends/patterns in performance and school quality and support the production of centralised reports.

Participate fully in the wider role of the Education Team in leading education across the group.

  • Implementation of Nord Anglia Education Programs and Collaborations

Support the implementation of Nord Anglia Education programmes and collaborations, including with MIT, UNICEF and the Juilliard School.

  • Professional Development

Work with the Director of Quality and Professional Development to produce and deliver professional development on Nord Anglia University and face to face, and participate as required in delivering the middle and senior leadership programmes.

The Successful Candidate will possess

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • A deep-held belief in school improvement through self-evaluation and self-improvement
  • Substantial experience as a senior leader in a school or in school improvement advisory work
  • Ability to judge the quality of educational outcomes at all ages
  • Good cross-cultural, interpersonal & communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures
  • Excellent analytical skills – with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success
  • Strong leadership skills with gravitas that can be accepted by senior leaders in the group
