Are you an inspirational leader of learning looking for an amazing opportunity in a highly successful and prestigious school? The College Alpin Beau Soleil is looking for an experienced and qualified SEN Coordinator to join our team. We welcome applications from exceptional, self-motivated and reflective professionals with the right blend of energy and experience, and a passion for teaching that embraces change and innovation.
The SEN Coordinator plays a vital role within our learning community, supporting students to achieve their best and to enjoy their time in lessons. Working within the Faculty of English and Student support, this is a role which has whole school scope and requires effective collaboration with colleagues in every department. You will liaise with the Faculty Leaders, House teams, external providers, and examination boards as well as with parents, programme leaders and the academic leadership team to ensure that all our students are equipped with the tools and support they need to flourish. Inspiring teachers and students through your dedication and care, you will devise, and lead the provision of one to one support, in-class assistance, exam accommodations, plus all relevant screening and assessments. Whether it is helping teachers to use a more effective range of strategies to support dyslexic students, or helping an anxious final year student with his time management and organisation, your work will have a direct and lasting impact on students’ ability to cope with the pressures of academic study.
Amongst other things, you’ll be well organised, have a good sense of humour and will want to participate fully in the extra-curricular aspects of school life including the boarding provision as well as the classroom. Ideally, you will already have a basic level of French language and be keen to develop your language skills.
In addition to being highly successful in its own right, the College Alpin Beau Soleil is a member of the Nord Anglia Education family of premium international schools. This means you’ll be joining an international team in which thoughts and ideas are shared around the globe as we strive to make our schools the very best in the world. You will have the security and opportunities that come from being part of a high quality global organisation dedicated to education and professional development.
In return for your passion to deliver the highest quality all-round boarding education you will enjoy a competitive salary, and places in the school for your children. You will also have the opportunity to live in and work in the stunningly beautiful Swiss Alpine ski resort of Villars sur Ollon.
Here at the College Alpin Beau Soleil, we are a close-knit team who are proud of our school and boarding community.
