Duties and Responsibilities

  • To be an ambassador of the Secondary School at all times
  • To liaise with the IB MYP/DP team and the curriculum leaders to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum to specified classes, including selecting resources and managing them efficiently in the classroom
  • To participate in the design, development, implementation and review of MYP/DP Physics and Integrated Science programmes
  • To work closely with the MIT team within school and develop resources to support integration of the programme into the Physics curriculum
  • To lead by example in all areas of school life and to be a powerful role model for colleagues, as an outstanding practitioner
  • To carry out reasonable professional requests made by the Principal or Head of Secondary School
  • To meet all additional teaching and pastoral responsibilities, as outlined in the Teacher’s Job Description
  • To promote, through collaboration, a school culture of permanent improvement in order to raise standards of achievement at all levels
  • Experience of teaching lower school Science would be an advantage

Leadership Responsibilities
