"Our mission is to provide an inclusive, international education in a safe, happy, supportive and stimulating environment where all the needs of the individual learner are met. Students are inspired to be the best thy can be, enabling them to become responsible global citizens."

Dance Teacher

The Creative and Performing Arts are popular and well-established subjects at St Andrews and we are looking for an experienced and inspiring Dance teacher to join the team. Class sizes are small and the students are motivated and enthusiastic, enjoying a wide range of teaching and learning techniques. The ideal candidate will convey enthusiasm for the subject and contribute collaboratively in the development of the curriculum from Year 7 to Year 13.

Our new High School has a number of purpose built Drama and Dance studios, as well as a well-equipped Theatre. From August 2018, all students have studied Dance in Key Stage 3, with a curriculum that reflects both our location in South-East Asia and the international nature of our students and influenced with our link, through Nord Anglia Education, with Juilliard.

Dance is a popular subject at IGCSE and this year we have our first IB Diploma Programme Dance class. Previous experience teaching these courses would be a significant advantage.

At St Andrews, we pride ourselves on being an inclusive school, and have an excellent reputation for supporting children with special educational needs. Experience of teaching children with dyslexia, mild autism, ADHD etc. would be very good prior experience for a teacher wishing to join our team. Our Mission Statement commits us to meeting ‘all the needs of the individual learner’, and this applies equally to those students targeting the very highest grades at IGCSE and IB.

All classrooms have data projectors and access to the internet, and there is a strong commitment to integrating the teaching and use of ICT skills into all areas of the curriculum.

As well as their teaching, all teachers are also expected to contribute positively to both the school’s pastoral systems and the extra-curricular programme, offering an Extra-Curricular Activity that either supports or extends the students’ learning in their subject area, or from another area of personal interest.

St Andrews is committed to ensuring the safety of all our students, and expects all staff to share the same commitment (see our Child Protection Code of Conduct). No teacher will be appointed without at least two references, including one from the most recent employer, a ten year criminal record check and relevant regional Prohibition Order/DBS checks.

If you would like to apply for a position at our school, please complete the application process through Jobtrain, accessible via the Nord Anglia Education website:
