Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a Finance IT Business Partner to join our IT team, sat within the Group Central Support.  

As a member of the central support IT team in our London headquarters location, we are looking for someone to work alongside the Group Head of IT Applications & Data Transformation.

The role:

We seek a talented, qualified and experienced Finance IT specialist to:

  • To act as a single point of contact and first point of escalation for Finance within the IT function.
  • Work closely with the CFO or their delegate to ensure full alignment with global strategy, policies and processes.
  • Build and maintain strong engagement with the Finance Leadership Team, to understand the business requirements for IT services and solutions and enable effective IT delivery.
  • Develop and provide relevant input to the Finance IT plans, priorities and processes in line with organisational objectives and NAE standards.
  • Shape IT plans, aligned with both Finance and Global IT Strategy to ensure that opportunities for change are understood and exploited for the future benefit of the business.
  • Conduct thorough evaluation of solution options to meet stated Finance’s requirements.
  • Act as a feed into the Finance community, tailoring local solutions to become global.
  • Actively participate in coaching and mentoring to develop future leaders in both the IT & Finance function.
  • Define a roadmap to deliver the agreed plans.   Ensure that the approach to strategy, planning and implementation of business technology delivery aligns with ITIL best practice and optimises business process effectiveness, in full compliance with all NAE standards.
  • Responsible for a portfolio of existing and future applications and ensure that their potential is being fully exploited to business and cost advantage and develop a long-term plan for each.
  • Drive agreed projects within cost, quality and timescale targets to realise agreed (cross)-functional benefit.
  • Responsible for ensuring BAU service and support meets business needs and priorities.
  • Manage continuous improvement and delivery to ensure Finance Applications meet business needs and local legislative changes.
  • Align all processes and operations to ITIL standards including.
  • Define, implement and maintain key quality KPIs and review processes to monitor Finance Application Service Operations.
  • Manage the day-to-day priorities and performance of the Business Central System Admin.
  • Manages the Service Level Agreements between Finance and internal/ external IT resources.
  • Define, implement and maintain Supplier KPIs and review processes to monitor internal/ external IT resources.

The Successful Candidate will possess:

  • Recognized Project Management certification (e.g., Agile, PMP, PRINCE2)
  • Recognized Finance qualification (CFA, ACA, CMA) or equivalent.
  • Relevant Application development/maintenance training.
  • Experience in application development/maintenance.
  • Experience in Finance/MI/BI project management.
  • Experience in Vendor management.
  • Experience in business analysis and understanding of core business processes.
  • Experience in business IT audits and controls (e.g., SOX, PCI, FERPA).
  • Experience in managing integration projects.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for producing reports and presentations.
  • Good cross-cultural, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical skills – with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success.
  • Results orientated with the ability to consistently map efforts against identified KPIs.
  • Excellent time management skills and flexibility in dealing with multi-functional tasks.
  • High levels of personal integrity.
  • Conscientious and able to focus on completing work to a consistently high standard.
  • Flexible and positive approach to work.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills; high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and able to prompt others to ensure deadlines are achieved.
