Secondary Teacher of Media Studies

The English and Media Faculty is dynamic and forward thinking with a strong team ethos. Working within the English and Media Studies faculty you will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues in the creation and delivery of creative and engaging learning experiences. Over the past several years, the A Level Media Studies course has become increasingly popular in the school and we are looking for someone who could help lead our media studies courses and enable the growth and development of this thriving subject. This is a well-established subject with a strong team and you will quickly build productive relationships to continue to improve the course and the outcomes for students.  We follow the CIE A Level Media Studies syllabus which requires students to complete practical coursework elements.  The ideal candidate would therefore have the skills to support students with website/blog creation, videography, video editing and scriptwriting as well as planning and delivering engaging lessons focusing on analysis of media texts and development of understanding of key media theories.
