Facilities Manager cum Health & Safety Officer


About the role

The British International School of Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced, open-minded, and professional Facilities Manager cum Health & Safety Officer to join our leading international school. As Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and the health and safety aspects of the BSKL properties and staff, currently comprising three campuses at Bandar Utama, which accommodate approximately 1,200 students and 230 staff members .


In this role you’ll use your skills and expertise to provide excellent work with impeccable professionalism. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with colleagues, inspectors, regulators and the school leadership team. About you

You will possess a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or an equivalent degree in a related field and a minimum of 6-8 years experience in facilities management, at least 3 years of which were at the management level. You must also be able to meet the legal work requirements for Malaysia. All successful candidates will undergo a criminal background check and must meet all applicable safeguarding requirements.


Selection Process


The closing date for application is 3:00pm on the 20th July, 2021.  Due to global travel restrictions, all interviews will be conducted via MS Teams or online video calls.  There will be three stages of interview, including a panel interview.   


Start Date: 1st August 2021 or earlier
