About the role
The British International School of Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced, open-minded, and professional Chargeman cum Facilities Officer to join our leading international school. As Chargeman cum Facilities Officer, you will carry out the maintenance of electrical installations and systems of the school and assist in works of the Facilities Department.
In this role you’ll use your skills and expertise to provide excellent work with impeccable professionalism. You will communicate with confidence across diverse audiences and situations, using your expertise to build strong relationships with colleagues, inspectors, regulators and the school leadership team. You will possess a Competency Certificate in Electrical Chargeman (A4) issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga and a minimum of at least three years experience in facilities management. You must also be able to meet the legal work requirements for Malaysia. All successful candidates will undergo a criminal background check and must meet all applicable safeguarding requirements.
The closing date for application is 3:00pm on the 18th July, 2021. Due to global travel restrictions, all interviews will be conducted via MS Teams or online video calls. There will be three stages of interview, including a panel interview.
Start Date: 1st August 2021 or earlier
