Job Description

British Vietnamese International School

Ho Chi Minh City

The British Vietnamese School (BVIS) is the premier international bilingual school in Ho Chi Minh City. It was set up with a clear vision to provide the best English-speaking international education and to nurture and protect the Vietnamese language and Culture. BVIS was the first school in Vietnam to follow this model and is a pioneer in high quality bilingual education. We aim for all our students to leave the school fluent in English and Vietnamese and to be ready for the best universities in the world. We have an outstanding team of international teachers as well as what we believe to be the very best Vietnamese teachers. We want our students to be inspired by you and will look to recruit even more of the best teachers from around the world. We will continue to support your professional development, to achieve our aim of providing the best international bilingual education in the world.

BVIS is a Nord Anglia Education school and a member of the prestigious Federation of British Schools in Asia. It is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools, with wonderful facilities and a supportive, friendly and innovative working environment.

We are now seeking to add more outstanding teachers to our staff team.

Secondary Mathematics and Science Teacher

The Maths and Science faculties are committed to the very best teaching and learning at BVIS, working collaboratively to develop outstanding results for our students. Teachers look to develop not only subject knowledge but also a love of their subjects. Our students regularly compete in academic competitions across Asia and achieve excellent exam results. This is largely due to the dedication and hard-working nature of the school, something you would quickly become a part of.

The faculties are experienced and passionate about learning and you will join an environment with a strong team ethos, to deliver a creative curriculum that aims to go beyond assessments, developing our students’ curiosity and passion for problem solving and enquiry. Committed and creative, you will be reflective on your own teaching and student outcomes, seeking out and implementing new ideas and innovative practices to raise achievement and progress. The ability to teach and inspire students across the Key Stage 3 in Maths and Science would be essential. There is a degree of flexibility in this role and it can be tailored to suit the right candidate. Experience in teaching A Level and IGCSE Maths or Science would be advantageous.
