Teacher of Design Technology/STEM required for September 2019
Are you an inspirational teacher looking for an amazing opportunity in a highly successful and prestigious school? The College Alpin Beau Soleil is looking for an experienced and qualified teacher of Design Technology to join our team. We welcome applications from exceptional, self-motivated and reflective professionals with the right blend of energy and experience, and a passion for teaching that embraces change and innovation.
This is a new role for September, so ideal for a teacher who is looking to make their mark and build something extraordinary, innovative and brand new. Leading the learning of students aged 11 to 16 in Design Technology, you will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with the ability to transmit your passion and knowledge to inspire the next generation of engineers, designer makers and artisans.
The STEM programme will be established in our Junior and Middle School years (UK equivalent to KS3/KS4). Working under the direction of the Faculty Leader, you will be responsible for curriculum development, implementation of STEM activities and theme based projects. You will enjoy working with a range of abilities, ages and nationalities.
Amongst other things, you’ll be well organised, have a good sense of humour and will want to participate fully in the extra-curricular aspects of school life including the boarding provision as well as the classroom. Ideally, you will already have a basic level of French language and be keen to develop your language skills.
In addition to being highly successful in its own right, the College Alpin Beau Soleil is a member of the Nord Anglia Education family of premium international schools. This means you’ll be joining an international team in which thoughts and ideas are shared around the globe as we strive to make our schools the very best in the world. You will have the security and opportunities that come from being part of a high quality global organisation dedicated to education and professional development.
In return for your passion to deliver the highest quality all-round boarding education you will enjoy a competitive salary, and places in the school for your children. You will also have the opportunity to live in and work in the stunningly beautiful Swiss Alpine ski resort of Villars sur Ollon.
Here at the College Alpin Beau Soleil, we are a close knit team who are proud of our school and boarding community. We educate 250 young people from nearly 60 countries, preparing them for futures as impactful global citizens. If you’d like to be a part of our on-going success, please get in touch; we’d love to hear from you.
